The German online travel agency, Tourlane, has ranked Thailand as the number one safest travel destination amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The ranking analysed the following criteria:
The 14-day COVID-19 case reporting rate, according to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC)
The International Health Regulations (IHR) Capacity Score
Population density of the country
Flight connections from Germany
Hours of sunshine per day for outdoor activities.
The result reveals the top 19 countries that meet the criteria and can be considered the safest places for traveling.
