Just finished a nine day tour of the Golden Triangle with DART Asia. Outstanding! They are a first class operation I highly recommend.
The company is operated by riders for riders. The Ducati motorcycles used in my tour, Multistrada 950s and Desert Sleds are expertly maintained and equipped with high end accessories.
Riding in northern Thailand is a rider’s dream, outstanding fun curvy roads, just about all in excellent shape, little or no traffic. I have never experienced anything like it in the US or Europe. The DART staff know these roads and take you to places you’d never find on your own.
The tour accommodations were excellent, several were beyond anything I expected, the Thai cuisine is of course great. There is no petty crime, we left helmets and jackets on the bikes at stops and the Thai people all so friendly.
The tour price I thought was very reasonable for the excellent experience you get. The tour price is all inclusive which means all fuel, coffee stops and all meals are covered as well as medical insurance. The convenience of this approach cannot be overstated.
I have lived and traveled in Asia, and I really enjoyed the route in the northern mountains of the Golden Triangle, well off the tourist beaten path. I found it very appealing to be away from bus loads of tourists that might be found in the bigger cities and beaches to the south. You experience the culture of Thailand from remote mountain villages, temples, riding along the Mighty Mekong River and you might even get to pet a baby elephant.
All of the DART staff on my tour, Kevin, Pepper, David, and Art are excellent riders and great people, they quickly become your riding buddies not the tour company owners and staff.
I can not recommend DART Asia highly enough for an outstanding riding experience in a place that many may not consider.
